Legionella bacteria are often found in water systems such as hot tubs, showers, hot water tanks or even old taps. They often cause severe respiratory illnesses such as Legionnaire’s disease. Coliform bacteria are a group of bacteria that are commonly found in the environment, and while most are harmless, some can cause severe illnesses such as diarrhea, dysentery, and other illnesses.
Our testing kits provide an accessible and reliable way to identify potentially hazardous bacteria in your water supply. The process is straightforward.
For the Legionella testing, you collect a sample in our special containers, then send it for analysis at a lead UKAS certified lab – results are delivered to you in about 10-12 days (incubation time of 10 days required as per regulations)
For the self-test Coliform kit, you simply order the kit then follow the instructions, allowing for the bacteria to incubate (this can often be for 48-72 hours).
In the event of coliform or legionella contamination being detected, we advise on effective and independent treatment options so that safe drinking water can be restored without delay.
